How do I pay members if I don't want to use PayPal or Tremendous?

As you may know, PayPal and Tremendous are currently the only systems we process payouts through inside of the app. However, the use of Buzzbassador is not fully dependent on Tremendous and PayPal. Several of our merchants pay their members outside of the app while still relying on our other functionalities. In other words, merchants will use Buzzbassador for all of its other functions (application form, landing page, emails, order tracking, reward calculations, etc.) but they will handle the payouts externally.

If you have any reason to want to do this instead of utilizing our Tremendous or PayPal integration, the process is quite simple - you just pay the payouts externally, and then mark them as paid in Buzzbassador.

How to Pay Members Without Using PayPal or Tremendous

  1. Go to the Rewards page > Set the filters to; 'Unpaid', 'Due', and 'Show All'

  2. Mark the checkboxes to the left of the rewards to select those that you want to pay outside of Buzzbassador

  3. Click the 'Mark as Paid' button

  4. You will see a pop-up that comes up that. Confirm the amount you need to pay out, and make sure you have already paid that amount to the correct member(s) outside of Buzzbassador.

  5. Click the Mark as Paid button. This will mark the rewards as paid.

How To Confirm The Rewards Were Marked as Paid

To confirm that the rewards were marked as paid, you can check the following places:

Rewards Page

Go to the Rewards page and change the filters to Type: Paid, Status: Success, and Payment Method: Marked as Paid. The payouts that appear there are the ones that were successfully marked as paid. Make sure you check what date range you are looking at by using the date picker at the top right of the Rewards table.

Member Profile

You can use the same filters as mentioned above, but for a specific member, from their Member Profile. Open a member's profile by clicking on their row, either on the main rewards page, the members page, or even searching them at the top search bar. Once you click on a member, their profile will open, and at the bottom in the table of their Rewards, you'll be able to see a history of their payouts. Use the filters Type: Paid, Status: Success, and Payment Method: Marked as Paid to specifically see their payouts that were marked as paid successfully. Make sure you check what date range you are looking at by using the date picker at the top right of the page.

Our team definitely understands how important it is for you and your brand to send payouts in a snap, using whichever payment method is best for you. We also recognize that our Tremendous integration and PayPal Payouts integration may not work for every merchant. As we continue to develop and release more features, paying members using other payment systems internally will be an option very soon!
