How Paying Rewards with Tremendous Works

Learn how merchants send and members receive payouts via our Tremendous Integration

Buzzbassador offers seamless integration with Tremendous to facilitate payouts to your members. This guide provides a comprehensive overview of how payouts work through the Tremendous integration.

FOR MEMBERS

Redemption Process for Members

When a payout is initiated through Buzzbassador using the Tremendous integration, members will receive an email notification regarding their payout with a link to redeem their reward, and they can follow the instructions provided to redeem their rewards through the chosen method. The email notification will look something like this (with the placeholders automatically filled out):

Once they click on the 'Redeem' button, they will be redirected to a webpage. See below example (placeholders are automatically filled out when it's live):

When they click on the Redeem button, a pop-up will appear where they can select which payment method they want to be paid with. The payment methods that will show as options for the member will depend on what payment methods you activated or made available from your settings (Please refer to the 'Adding Payment Method' section of this help article).

FOR MERCHANTS

Preloading Balance

To initiate payouts via Tremendous, you need to preload your Tremendous account with sufficient funds.

To load your Tremendous account balance, you can link various payment methods such as your bank account, credit card, initiate an ACH transfer, or set up invoicing.

Payments through the Tremendous integration are drawn from your Tremendous account balance. Therefore, it's crucial to ensure that your Tremendous account has a sufficient balance to cover the payouts you initiate.

Adding Payment Methods

Consider offering multiple payment methods such as PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Starbucks gift cards, Venmo, or bank transfers, etc. To set this up, go to Tremendous > Campaign templates > Actions > Edit Rewards.

You can then select which payment method the members can choose on how they want to be paid. The ones that you will activate on this page will be the only option available when ambassadors try to redeem their reward.

Initiating Payouts

Once your Tremendous account is funded, you can initiate payouts directly through Buzzbassador. Navigate to the rewards section and select the member whose payout you wish to process. Click the 'Pay' button and select 'Pay with Tremendous' from the Pop Up box.

Additional Notes:

Handling Failed Payments: In case of failed payments due to insufficient funds in your Tremendous account, you can retry the payment process from the rewards section in Buzzbassador. Ensure that your Tremendous account has enough balance before retrying the payout.

Email Templates (Buzzbassador): If you have the Email 'You've Been Paid' enabled from your Emails template page in Buzzbassaor, they will receive this email notification from Buzzbassador in addition to the email notification from Tremendous. This is optional so you can choose to disable it.
