Your Ambassador Dashboard: A Complete Guide

A full walkthrough of the ambassador dashboard: logging in, every page and card explained, how to read referral and reward statuses, exporting data, settings, and your Buzz Journey.

Written by Shelby Baldwin

This guide walks through everything in your ambassador dashboard: how to log in, what each part of the page means, and how to read your referral and reward statuses. Use the headers below to jump to what you need, or read straight through if you're just getting started.

Logging in

First time

Once the store you applied to approves you, you'll get an email inviting you to set your password. Click the link, choose a password, and you'll be signed in automatically and dropped straight onto your dashboard, no separate login step needed.

If you don't see that email right away, check your spam folder. You'll also get a couple of reminder emails if you haven't set your password yet, so if you already acted on the first one, you can ignore any reminders that follow.

Every time after that

Head to your dashboard's login page at amb.buzzbassadorapp.com and sign in with your email and password. There's a "remember me" option if you're on your own device, and a "forgot password" link if you need to reset it.

Forgot your password?

Click Forgot password, enter your email, and you'll get a reset link. For privacy reasons, you'll see the same confirmation message whether or not your email is on file, so if nothing arrives after a few minutes, double check you used the email your invite went to.

"This account isn't set up as an ambassador"

If you see this message, your password was correct, the issue is with your account's approval status rather than your login. This usually means the store hasn't approved your application yet, or your access has changed. Reach out to the store directly to check on this.

Getting around the dashboard

The sidebar

On the left (or in the menu on mobile), you'll find four sections: Dashboard, Referrals, Rewards, and Settings. Whichever page you're on is highlighted so you always know where you are.

The top bar

At the top of every page you'll find the page title, a store selector (if you're an ambassador for more than one store), a notification bell, and your account menu with a link to Settings and the option to log out.

If you're an ambassador for more than one store

You'll see a store switcher at the top. Switching stores reloads the whole dashboard to show that store's numbers, since nothing in your dashboard is ever a combined total across stores, each store's referrals, rewards, and goals stand entirely on their own.

Notifications

The bell icon shows your recent notifications, mainly used today to let you know when a data export you requested is ready to download. Click any notification to jump to what it's about, or use Mark all read to clear them out.

Your Dashboard home

This is the page you land on every time you log in, and it's built to give you a full picture at a glance.

Finish your profile

If your profile isn't complete, you'll see a slim bar near the top prompting you to fill it in. It counts things like your name, photo, birthday, phone number, address, and social handles. Once everything's filled in, the bar disappears on its own, there's nothing to dismiss.

Set up your payout method

If the store pays through PayPal and you haven't added a PayPal email yet, you'll see a banner asking you to add one. You can dismiss it for a day at a time with Later, but it'll keep coming back until you add an email, since this is the only prompt you'll get to set this up.

Your lifetime payouts

This large card at the top shows your all-time earnings on this store, broken into:

  • Pending: earned but not yet paid out

  • Paid out: rewards that have actually gone through

This figure includes both order commissions and campaign rewards.

Share & earn

This is where you'll find your sharing tools, and it's worth reading closely since mixing these up is the single most common mistake ambassadors make:

  • Your affiliate link: share this with your followers. Anyone who clicks it and buys gets tracked back to you automatically, no code needed.

  • Referral code: also for your followers. They enter this at checkout to get their own discount, and you get credit for the sale.

  • Personal discount code: this one's for you, not your followers. It's a private discount on your own purchases.

Important: don't use your referral code or affiliate link on your own orders. Orders placed with your own referral code don't earn a reward, they're specifically excluded since that code is meant for followers, not you. If you want a discount on your own purchase, use your personal discount code instead.

You'll only see the tools the store has turned on. If a field is missing, that's a setting on their end, not something wrong with your account. If none of your codes have been generated yet, you'll see a note that they're on the way.

Your program

This card lays out your current commission rate and any perks, pulled straight from the store's program settings. If there's nothing to show here (for example, no perks configured), the card simply won't appear.

Keep in mind this card reflects your program's terms today. A reward you already earned was calculated using whatever the terms were at the time you earned it, so if the store has since changed their rates, this card and an older reward's amount can legitimately look different from each other. That's not an error.

Your payouts goal

This is a personal goal you set for yourself, daily, weekly, or monthly, to track your own progress. The store doesn't set this and can't see it. Click Edit goal to change the target or the time period at any point.

One thing to know: these windows are rolling, not calendar-based. A "monthly" goal tracks your last 30 days, not the calendar month, so it won't reset on the 1st.

Performance

This section shows three numbers over a date range you choose (today, last 7 days, last 30 days, and so on): orders driven, sales value, and what you've earned, plus a trend chart underneath. Changing the date range only affects this section, it won't move your lifetime earnings or your goal progress above.

A quick note on the middle number, "sales": that's your followers' total spend, not your own earnings. Your actual take is the payouts figure next to it.

Direct product links (if available)

Some stores let you generate a trackable link straight to a specific product page instead of your general storefront link. If you see this card, paste a product URL in and hit generate. If you don't see it, your store's program doesn't support this yet, it's not something missing from your account.

Your Buzz Journey

At the bottom of your dashboard, you'll find a card for your Buzz Journey, a story-style recap of your entire history with this store. More on this below.

Referrals

The Referrals page answers one question: which orders did I drive?

Summary cards

At the top, you'll see your total referral count, commission earned, sales driven, and a locations breakdown. If commission earned shows N/A, that means the store hasn't set a commission rate yet, it's not the same as zero, and it's worth checking with the store.

Reading the status

Every referral shows one of three statuses:

Status

What it means

Processing

Still within the store's holding period before it counts toward your reward

Confirmed

Past the holding period and counted

Cancelled

The order was refunded, voided, or cancelled

These statuses are recalculated every time you view the page, so a Confirmed order can flip to Cancelled later if it gets refunded, even if you saw it as Confirmed yesterday.

A note if you're comparing this to your Rewards page: these three words (Processing, Confirmed, Cancelled) are specific to this page. Rewards uses a different set of statuses (Processing, Due, Paid, Declined). "Confirmed" here does not mean "Paid" over there, they're answering different questions about the same order.

Filtering and searching

Use the search bar to look up a specific discount code or reference number, and the filter dropdown to narrow by status, source (discount code or affiliate link), or date range. Your filters get saved in the page's web address, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.

Locations

Tap the Locations card to see where your sales are coming from, by country, state, and city, with the option to view by order count, sales value, or commission.

Rewards

The Rewards page answers a different question than Referrals: what am I owed, and what have I been paid?

Summary cards

You'll see your lifetime earned total, what's currently pending, and the date your next pending reward becomes payable. If that date shows "Any day now," it means the reward has already matured (cleared the store's holding period) and is Due, ready for the store to pay out whenever they choose. There's no fixed schedule for exactly when that happens on Buzzbassador's end: "Any day now" means the reward is ready and it's simply a matter of when the store initiates the payout, not a countdown to an automatic process.

Reading the status

Every reward, whether from an order or a campaign, shows one of four statuses:

Status

What it means

Processing

Still within the store's holding period

Due

Past the holding period, waiting for the store to pay it out

Paid

Paid out to you

Declined

Won't be paid, see the reason shown under the reward

Payouts run on the store's own schedule, so once a reward shows Due, it's simply a matter of time until the store initiates payment, there's no fixed timeline Buzzbassador controls. If you were paid and then see a reward move back from Paid to Due, this usually means the payout didn't go through on the store's end, often a payout method issue, most commonly an incorrect PayPal address on file. Double-checking your payout details in Settings is a good first step if this happens.

If a reward is declined

You'll see a plain-language reason underneath the reward. The most common ones:

  • Self-placed order: you used your referral code (meant for followers) on your own purchase. Use your personal discount code instead next time.

  • The order was refunded, voided, or cancelled.

  • The shipping destination isn't eligible for rewards under this program.

  • Declined by the store. This one covers a manual decline, but it's also the general catch-all when no more specific reason applies, so it doesn't always mean someone reviewed it by hand.

If a decline doesn't make sense to you, the store is the best place to check, they'll have more context on their end.

Why Referrals and Rewards don't always match

These two pages are built from the same orders but answer different questions, so it's normal for their numbers not to line up exactly. Referrals is about which orders count as yours. Rewards is about what you're actually owed and paid. Don't expect the totals to match one-to-one.

Exporting your data

Both the Referrals and Rewards pages let you export what you're viewing to a CSV file. Click Export, and you'll get an email and an in-app notification once it's ready to download.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Only one export of each type can run at a time. If you request another while one's still processing, you'll just get pointed to the one already running.

  • Requesting a new export replaces the old one. If you already downloaded a file and start a new export of the same type, your earlier download link stops working.

  • Files are only available for 7 days, so download promptly once you get the ready notification.

  • Your export reflects whatever filters you had applied at the moment you requested it, using the data available at that time.

Settings

Your Settings page has four tabs.

Profile

Your photo, name, birthday, phone number, address, and social handles. Photos can be JPG or PNG, up to 2 MB.

Account

Your login email and password. Changing either one requires entering your current password first.

Referral

Shows your current referral code with a copy button, plus the option to request a new one.

Before you change your code: your old code stops working the moment you save a new one, immediately, with no overlap. If you've already shared your code in posts, videos, or printed materials, all of those stop working as soon as you switch. Any rewards you've already earned under the old code are unaffected, they keep the code they were earned with.

Payout

Where you set how you get paid. Depending on what the store offers, this may show a store-credit currency to redeem into, or a PayPal email to add. If the store pays via Tremendous, there's nothing to set up here at all: Tremendous payouts go automatically to your Buzzbassador account email as soon as your account exists, with no account to create, link, or connect on your end, so you can receive a Tremendous payout from day one. If PayPal shows as "Connected," that just means an email has been saved, it doesn't confirm the address actually works. If there's a typo, you likely won't find out until a payout attempt fails, so it's worth double-checking this is accurate.

Your Buzz Journey

Your Buzz Journey is a story-format recap of your entire history with a store: total sales driven, your best month, your top product, and more, presented like a slideshow.

Viewing your private journey

Click the Buzz Journey card on your dashboard to open it. Tap the edges to move forward or back, hold to pause, or use your arrow keys. If you haven't driven any sales yet, you'll just see a starting card instead of the full story.

Sharing a public version

You can choose to make a public version of your journey shareable using the toggle on your dashboard. It's off by default, nothing is shared until you turn it on. Once it's on, anyone with the link (or the QR code shown alongside it) can view it, no login required.

The public version leaves out every dollar figure, but does include things like your total sales count, top product, and customers reached. Turning the toggle back off makes the link stop working right away.

Quick answers to common questions

Why does my Rewards page show a different total than my Referrals page?

They're answering different questions. Referrals tracks which orders are yours; Rewards tracks what you're actually owed and paid, and includes campaign rewards that Referrals doesn't. Some difference between the two is expected.

Why is my reward stuck on "Due" and not "Paid" yet?

Payouts run on the store's own schedule, so there's often a delay between a reward becoming Due and actually being paid. If it's been Due for an unusually long time, check your payout details in Settings, then reach out to the store if everything looks correct.

Why did my order show as declined with commission listed, if I'm not getting paid for it?

Declined rewards still display what the amount would have been, but a declined status means it won't be paid regardless of the number shown. Always go by the status, not the figure next to it.

My dates look off by a few hours, what's going on?

The dashboard runs on UTC time for everyone, regardless of where you are. If you're outside that time zone, dates near midnight your time can appear to land on the "wrong" day.

Can I message support from inside the dashboard?

Not directly today. For any question about your account, your rewards, or your payouts, reach out to the store you're an ambassador for. For technical questions about the Buzzbassador platform, reach out to us via email at [email protected].
