Note: We use "Program" and "Member" as label-agnostic terms to refer to any marketing you are using Buzzbassador to facilitate, whether you refer to it as an affiliate program, influencer marketing, ambassador program, referral program, creator partnerships, brand reps, partner program, etc.

Let's say you just created your application form, so now you want to see what it looks like from the member's point of view, and make sure all of your questions are working the way you want them to. Here's how you can do that.

There are two crucial things you’ll need to make sure you do in order to test your application form correctly. If you do not do these two things, the testing process will not work correctly, and I’ll explain why in a moment.

Use a NEW email address

When you create your test member account, you MUST use an email address that is different from the email you used to create your brand’s Buzzbassador account.

Use a PRIVATE or incognito browser

You MUST test the application process in an incognito or private browser.

Both of these things are crucial because if you do not follow these steps, Buzzbassador will recognize your account and automatically log you in as the brand, which will cause an error in going through the member side of the process.

How to test the application form

To test the application, first, you’ll want to get the link to the live application. Navigate to the Application Form page and click on the link located in the top editor menu as shown below.

This will copy the link to the application form to your clipboard, which you can paste into your incognito/private browser.

You can then go through and fill out the questions. Remember, when filling out the form, in the email blank, make sure to use an email address that is NOT linked to your brand’s Buzzbassador account.

Once you enter all of the answers, click “Submit” at the bottom. You will then see the "Success" page. This is the furthest an applicant can go without being approved. The "Success" message can be customized to let them know that they should be receiving an email about the status of their application whenever they are approved.

And there you go -- you're done with testing your application form! 🐝
