Buzzbassador Campaigns let you set up bonus reward structures on top of (or instead of) regular order-based commissions. There are two types of campaigns, each with its own reward mechanic, and both use Buzzbassador's standard payout integrations.

Campaign rewards are tracked separately from order rewards
Campaign rewards are separate from regular order rewards (commissions) at the system level. Order rewards are governed by your program's reward settings; campaign rewards are governed by the campaign's own settings.
This separation has practical implications:
Members in a program with the Rewards section disabled can still earn campaign rewards. Campaigns are not affected by the program-level Rewards toggle.
Members in a rewards-enabled program can earn both regular commission on each attributed sale (Source: Order) and any campaign bonus they qualify for (Source: Campaign).
You can run campaigns on top of any program structure regardless of whether that program pays regular commission.
Sales Campaigns: bonus rewards based on hitting a sales goal
Sales Campaigns set a sales goal for members during a specific time window. Members who hit the goal earn a flat bonus reward.
For example, if a member is in a program with 10% commission and is added to a Sales Campaign offering a $50 bonus for generating $100 in sales:
They earn $10 in regular commission on the $100 in attributed orders (Source: Order in your Rewards tab).
They earn the $50 bonus on top once they hit the goal (Source: Campaign in your Rewards tab).
The two reward types are tracked separately so you can see exactly what each member earned through campaigns versus through regular sales activity.
Buzzbassador automatically tracks members' progress toward sales goals using their referral codes and generates the campaign bonus reward when the goal is met. You do not need to manually review which orders count toward the goal or generate the bonus rewards.

Post on Social Campaigns: rewards for content deliverables
Post on Social Campaigns reward members for completing content deliverables (Instagram Reels, TikToks, stories, YouTube videos, and so on). When a member submits qualifying content and you approve it, the reward is generated and added to their balance.
These campaigns are useful for content-for-product gifting programs, product launches, and any campaign where the deliverable is a post rather than a sale.

Paying out campaign rewards
Campaign rewards can be paid out as cash or store credit through Buzzbassador's standard payout integrations:
PayPal (cash)
Tremendous (ACH, Venmo, and other cash methods via the integration)
Shopify Store Credit
Mark as Paid (for manual cash payouts handled outside Buzzbassador, such as Zelle or check)
Campaign rewards appear in the same Rewards tab as regular order commissions. Each reward is tagged Source: Order or Source: Campaign so you can see exactly what each payout is for.

Non-monetary campaign rewards must be fulfilled outside Buzzbassador
If your campaign offers a non-monetary reward (free product, branded merchandise, exclusive perks, gift cards you send manually, custom thank-yous, and so on), you cannot process the payout through Buzzbassador. Instead:
Set up the campaign in Buzzbassador to track which members qualify and when they meet the campaign requirements.
When a member qualifies, fulfill the non-monetary reward through your normal operations (ship the product, grant the perk, send a custom email, and so on).
The campaign tracking still happens automatically inside Buzzbassador; only the fulfillment step is manual when the reward is non-monetary.
Reward Processing Period for campaign rewards
Sales Campaign bonus rewards are subject to the same Reward Processing Period as regular commissions. If you have a 30-day processing period, the bonus becomes payable 30 days after the campaign-qualifying order, giving you a buffer in case any of those orders get refunded. Post on Social Campaign rewards (based on content submission and approval rather than on orders) also follow the Reward Processing Period from the time the reward is generated.

Notes:
Future updates may add support for tracking non-monetary campaign rewards directly inside Buzzbassador (gift card fulfillment, product fulfillment, and so on). You can track and vote on roadmap items at our public feedback portal.
