Note: We use "Program" and "Member" as label-agnostic terms to refer to any marketing you are using Buzzbassador to facilitate, whether you refer to it as an affiliate program, influencer marketing, ambassador program, referral program, creator partnerships, brand reps, partner program, etc.

Buzzbassador currently provides the ability to automatically generate affiliate links for members when they join your program through our app. This happens at the same time that we automatically generate each of your member's unique referral codes. However, our affiliate link feature is still in beta, which means that the functions are limited for now.

Instead of acting as independent trackable links, the beta affiliate links work by automatically applying the member's referral code to their cart at checkout. This means that if a customer clicks a member's affiliate link, they will be taken to your online store, and no matter what page or product they visit while they're there, whenever they reach checkout, the member's code will be automatically applied at checkout.

In order for the beta affiliate links to work and track orders correctly, the member's referral code must remain applied to the order - so, the customer can't remove the code. Luckily, since the code is automatically applied for them, the benefit of the affiliate link is that the customer doesn't have to remember to manually type in the member's code!

Your members will simply share their affiliate link just as they'd share their referral code. Once someone purchases with the link, you generate sales, and the member generates a referral – it functions the exact same way that your members' referral codes function, but just in link form. The beta affiliate link format is simply your store URL (pulled directly the "Store URL" field in Brand Details settings) / discount / their referral code

For example: If your store URL is set to buzzbassador.com and your member's referral code is buzz1, their affiliate link would be https://buzzbassador.com/discount/buzz1

Each of your active members will be able to view their unique affiliate links (along with their referral code and the program's exclusive discount code) on the dashboard of their member account.

Independently-tracked affiliate links (without the need to purchase with a discount code) is not a feature we offer right now. More advanced functionalities for our affiliate link feature - which will include 'codeless" links (UTM links), and the ability to customize the link format - are within our team's pipeline and will be implemented in the coming months!
