Critical: the Website/store URL must be exactly correct
Buzzbassador uses your Website/store URL as the base for every affiliate link and BuzzLink it generates for your members. If this URL has a typo, points to the wrong domain, or is missing the protocol (https://), every member's affiliate link will be broken and customers won't reach your store when they click.
Things to double-check before launching your program:
Use your live store URL exactly as customers visit it. If you have a custom domain (e.g., https://yourbrand.com), use that, not your https://yourbrand.myshopify.com Shopify URL.
Include the protocol (https://) at the start.
Don't include a path (e.g., don't use https://yourbrand.com/collections/all). The URL should be your store's homepage only.
After saving, copy a member's affiliate link from their profile and open it in a browser. Confirm the page loads your store correctly.
If you change the Website/store URL after members already have affiliate links, all existing links regenerate to use the new URL automatically. The unique buzz_ref token for each member stays the same, so any cookies set by their previous links still credit them correctly.
Notes:
Your brand name is visible to members; it appears in their portal and in email templates.
Your brand address is used by the {{brand_address}} merge tag in emails, and if left blank it defaults to your Shopify store address.
