Note: We use "Program" and "Member" as label-agnostic terms to refer to any marketing you are using Buzzbassador to facilitate, whether you refer to it as an affiliate program, influencer marketing, ambassador program, referral program, creator partnerships, brand reps, partner program, etc.
Within program setup, you can set product eligibility rules for both your program's discount code and your member's referral code (or shareable code). Buzzbassador allows you to choose from any of your public/active product collections in your Shopify admin. So, when you are determining the eligible products, make sure to type the exact title of the collections or products that are in your Shopify store.
To get started, you'll need to go to Program Setup and click the "Edit" button on a program's respective row. From here, the steps are quite simple!
To set product eligibility for the program's discount code:
Navigate to Program Setup (left-side menu > main menu tab) > Edit Program > Discount Code section
Under 'Product Eligibility', select which product(s) or collection(s) you do want to allow the members the ability to apply the program's discount code for when they are making personal purchases.
Whichever product(s) or collection(s) you don't want to be eligible for, leave those out of the 'Eligible...' field so your members can not apply the discount code for those products/collections during check out.
To set product eligibility for the program's referral code:
Once you have navigated to Program Setup > Edit Program, scroll down to the Referral Codes section
Under 'Product Eligibility', select which product(s) or collection(s) you do want to allow your members' friends and followers the ability to apply the member's referral code when purchasing from your store.
Whichever product(s) or collection(s) you don't want to be eligible for, leave those out of the 'Eligible...' field so the members' friends and followers can not apply the referral code for those products/collections during check out.
Keep in mind that if a referral code can't be used on a certain product or certain collection, then there will be no reward for orders that include that product/collection either.
