If your affiliate link is throwing an error or a 404, or a campaign invite link won't open, here's how to troubleshoot it.
Affiliate Link Not Working
An affiliate link can occasionally break due to a technical issue on the brand's site, or because you're using an outdated saved or bookmarked link rather than your current one.
Fix: Log in to your Ambassador account and copy a fresh version of your affiliate link directly from your dashboard, rather than reusing an old bookmarked or saved link. If the freshly copied link still doesn't work, move on to the steps below.
Campaign Invite Link Won't Open
If a campaign invite link specifically won't open, this has been reported most often on mobile browsers.
Fix:
Try opening the link in a different browser, or on a desktop computer instead of mobile.
Make sure you're using the most recent invite email for that campaign. If a brand re-sent an invite, or the campaign was updated, older invite emails for the same campaign can go stale and stop working.
If It Still Doesn't Work
If you've tried a fresh link and a different browser or device and it's still not working, reach out to the brand or to Buzzbassador support. Include:
The exact link you're trying to use
The device and browser you're on
This lets us (or the brand) investigate the specific link rather than guessing at the cause.
