How To Assign Campaigns to Current and Future Members

Assign a campaign to individual members, entire programs, or configure automatic assignment so new members are enrolled in a campaign the moment they join.

Assigning current members

When setting up a campaign, you can assign individual members by name or email, or entire programs (all members in that program are assigned at once).

Automatically assigning future members

You can configure a campaign to automatically add new members as they join. Two options:

  • Automatically assign all new members: any new member who joins the account (via any onboarding route) is added to the campaign.

  • Automatically assign new members of a specific program: only new members joining (or moving into) a specific program are added.

Important: Sales Goal Campaign assignment requires attribution sources

For Sales Goal Campaigns specifically, members can only complete the goal if their program has at least one attribution source enabled (Referral Codes or Affiliate Links). If you assign a Sales Goal Campaign to a member or program with both attribution sources disabled, the assignee will be enrolled but cannot drive attributed sales toward the goal.

This applies to both manual assignment and auto-assignment. If you have auto-assignment configured for a program with no attribution sources, those members will be added to the campaign automatically but won't be able to make progress.

This restriction does not apply to Post on Social Campaigns, since those don't require sales attribution.

Notes:

  • Automatic assignment is particularly useful for evergreen onboarding campaigns where you want every new member enrolled from day one.

  • Members moved into a program from another program will also trigger the auto-assign if you use the program-specific setting.

  • To prevent assignment issues for Sales Goal Campaigns, check the attribution settings of your target programs before launching.
