Note: We use "Program" and "Member" as label-agnostic terms to refer to any marketing you are using Buzzbassador to facilitate, whether you refer to it as an affiliate program, influencer marketing, ambassador program, referral program, creator partnerships, brand reps, partner program, etc.

In the Account Section of your Application Form Editor, you will find the required fields that will be included in your live Application Form automatically. These fields cannot be edited or removed from your Application Form.

Your member's codes are the most important part of your program because they are what your members use to promote you (and they are how you track their sales!).

The Referral Code field is always required for every applicant who fills out your form. This field will be added to your Application Form by default, because every member must have a referral code. This Referral Code field in the form is how applicants create their code during onboarding.

Whatever code an applicant types in this field when filling out the form will be created as their referral code (following the program settings) once they are approved. If the code they choose is already taken (already exists in your Shopify discounts list), Buzzbassador will generate a random one in its place, since Shopify requires that all discount codes must be unique.

The Referral Code field is located in the Account section of your live Application Form, as shown below.

You can refer to the Referral codes 101: everything you need to know article for more information about referral codes.
