How to configure your store settings
Here's how to set your ambassador program's general settings, such as acceptance settings, payout processing settings, and more

The last aspect of the Buzzbassador settings is the general store settings. These include all of the aspects of your ambassador program other than codes, discounts and commissions.

These are the program settings you'll be configuring in this article:

  • Payout Processing Period (# of Days)

  • Automatic Ambassador Approval - All (On/Off)

  • Automatic Ambassador Approval - Only On Purchase (On/Off)

Each setting will be explained in its own section below.

Payout Processing Period

This section of your Program Settings determines how many days your ambassadors' commissions will need to 'process' before they become due to be paid. This comes in handy for refunds (among other things) seeing as some orders that your ambassadors generate could be refunded, and you may want to make sure that they aren't paid commission until after your refund period has passed. The most common periods for payouts to process are 7, 14, 30, and 60 days. You may choose to make this period however long or short you'd like, though!

To configure this setting: just type in the number of days you'd like it to be, and click the "Save Changes" button.

Automatic Ambassador Approval - All

This section of your Store Settings determines whether or not your ambassadors will be automatically approved as soon as their application is submitted. This may come in handy if your program is very open to all applicants, and you don't care to spend the time going through each application and vetting it. To configure this setting: simply click the switch. If you want to approve all ambassadors automatically, make sure the switch is turned on, with the green side showing. If you want to manually approve ambassadors, make sure the switch is turned off, with the grey side showing.

Automatic Ambassador Approval - Only On Purchase

This section of your Store Settings determines whether or not your ambassadors will be automatically approved as soon as they make a purchase with your program discount code. This may come in handy if you require your ambassadors to make a purchase from your store before they can be approved. You can read more about automatically approving ambassadors on purchase here.

To configure this setting: simply click the switch. If the switch is turned on, the green side will be showing. If the switch is turned off, the grey side will be showing.
