Buzzbassador offers features that allow you to automatically accept ambassadors, making it even easier for you to scale your ambassador program! These features, when turned on, will automatically accept new ambassador applications for you, without you needing to go to your Ambassador Log, review their application, and manually approve them. Below are explanations of the two available settings for automatically accepting ambassadors, and how to use them.

Option 1: Auto-approve ALL ambassador applications

If you want to automatically accept anyone and everyone who fills out your application form, use this setting! This is great for merchants who may not have strict eligibility rules, and have a more open-door policy as far as who they accept in their program. Here's how to turn it on:

  1. Navigate to the 'Settings' page (⚙️ ) inside of Buzzbassador

  2. Switch to the 'Store Settings' tab

  3. Click the 'Auto-approve all applicants' switch to turn the feature on. (When it's on, it'll be green as pictured below)

  4. Save your changes

KEEP IN MIND: With this feature you won't have any way to vet the applicants. Whoever applies will be accepted, and they will immediately receive the 'Application Accepted' email (if it's turned on), have a Buzzbassador account created for them, and have their referral code and affiliate link created -- no matter who they are. Because there is no manual vetting process, if you have multiple program tiers, any auto-accepted ambassadors will be added to your DEFAULT program tier.

Option 2: Auto-approve ONLY ambassador applications who have PURCHASED

With this feature, you can set a condition for applicants to automatically become an ambassador of your program only if they purchase from your brand's store first. So, any applicant who makes a purchase with the discount code of your DEFAULT program tier will be automatically accepted. Here's how to turn it on:

  1. Navigate to the 'Settings' page (⚙️ ) inside of Buzzbassador

  2. Switch to the 'Store Settings' tab

  3. Click the 'Auto-approve applicants who have purchased with program discount code' switch to turn the feature on. (When it's on, it'll be green as pictured below)

  4. Save your changes

Now, when someone who has filled out an application for your ambassador program places an order from your store and uses your DEFAULT tier's program discount code at checkout, they will be automatically accepted! This is how many merchants who want their ambassadors to purchase before joining automate that process.

KEEP IN MIND: Just like the previous auto-accept feature, you won't have any way to vet the applicants who purchase from you. Whoever applies and purchases with your program discount code will be accepted, and then will immediately receive the 'Application Accepted' email (if it's turned on), have a Buzzbassador account created for them, and have their referral code and affiliate link created -- no matter who they are. Because there is no manual vetting process, if you have multiple program tiers, any auto-accepted ambassadors will be added to your DEFAULT program tier.

ALSO -- If you want to utilize this feature, there are two other requirements to note in order for the automation to work:

  1. Your Default program tier's discount code's customer eligibility settings MUST be set to "Everyone" so that your applicants (not ambassadors - yet) can place an order with it.

  2. Since the applicant gets accepted to your Default program tier, they MUST use the discount code for the default tier only

  3. When an applicant places an order with the default tier discount code, they MUST use the same email address that they used on their ambassador application in their checkout information. This is the only way our app can cross-check for purchases from applicants. If the same email address is not used, the purchaser will not be automatically accepted into your program.
