If you're expecting free product, a gifted item, or a PR package from a brand you work with, it's worth understanding what Buzzbassador does (and doesn't) handle here. This is one of the most common points of confusion for ambassadors, so let's clear it up.
What Buzzbassador Handles
Buzzbassador is the platform a brand uses to run their ambassador or referral program. On our side, we manage:
Tracking clicks and sales from your referral code or affiliate link
Issuing and managing your personal discount and referral codes
Calculating and paying out commission-based rewards you earn on the sales you drive
Your Ambassador Dashboard, where you track your codes, links, sales, and rewards
What Buzzbassador Does Not Handle
Buzzbassador does not manage product gifting, PR packages, or any "free product" perks. That means we're not involved in:
Deciding who receives free product or a gift
Selecting, packing, or shipping physical product
Tracking the delivery or shipment status of a gifted item
Any gifting or PR arrangement you have is between you and the brand, directly. The brand decides whether to send product, what to send, and when, and they handle the entire arrangement (including fulfillment) on their own, outside of Buzzbassador. Because this happens outside the platform, we don't have visibility into it, and our support team can't look up shipment details or gifting status on a brand's behalf.
If You're Expecting Free Product and Haven't Received It
If a brand told you that you'd be receiving free product, a gift, or a PR mailer and it hasn't shown up, reach out to the brand directly. They're the ones who arranged it and control shipping, so they're the ones who can check the status, confirm your address, or send a replacement.
Notes:
Commission-based rewards for sales you drive are different from gifting, and those are the rewards Buzzbassador tracks and helps facilitate payout for.
